Methodology

What is in this edition

  • Counted active airframes by Sprinkle’s aircraft-category hierarchy and calculated age only where a recorded manufacturing year exists.
  • Grouped active priced listings by the same segment and kept currencies separate—no exchange-rate conversion is applied.
  • Calculated median asking price independently for each segment and currency.
  • Included current saved-search and wanted-record counts as a small first-party demand signal.
  • Counted the latest available 30-day flight-leg window as tracked activity, not total aviation activity.

Editorial use

Claims this edition supports

Use it for current fleet composition, asking-price medians, listing volume and tracked activity. Do not call asking prices sale prices, compare currencies directly, or claim a market trend until enough monthly editions exist.
