The analysis covers all three downloadable NTSB aviation archives from 1962 onward. Registration-only and serial-only matches are excluded.

Methodology
How the matches were made
- Kept current, unsold Sprinkle dealer and marketplace listings.
- Combined the NTSB’s 1962–1981, 1982–2007 and current downloadable aviation archives.
- Normalized punctuation, spacing and purely numeric serial-number padding.
- Published only records where both registration and serial number match the same NTSB aircraft record.
- Deduplicated repeated listing/event pairs and retained NTSB date, event type, damage, injury level and report status.
Editorial use
What still needs checking
Confirm that the listing is still live and that the serial number has not been mistyped. Read the complete NTSB record and ask the seller for repair, inspection and logbook evidence. “Destroyed” is an NTSB event classification and may signal a stale or exceptional listing requiring especially careful verification.
