America’s private-jet registration capitals
US cities ranked by valid business-jet registrations per 100,000 residents, using the registered owner’s city—not the aircraft’s operating base.
Important: This measures registered-owner addresses. Trust companies, lessors and fleet structures can create large concentrations, and an aircraft may be based or flown somewhere else. The table shows owner concentration so journalists can spot that effect.

Methodology
How the ranking was made
- Kept valid, non-expired FAA registrations mapped to models categorised by Sprinkle as fixed-wing business jets.
- Grouped aircraft by the public registered-owner city and state; owner names are counted but not published in this ranking.
- Matched the city to the highest-population same-name municipality in that state.
- Published cities with population ≥10,000, at least 10 jets and at least five distinct owner names; calculated jets per 100,000 residents.

What still needs checking
Do not describe this as based aircraft, local wealth or resident ownership. Investigate trust, leasing and corporate registration structures behind unusual concentrations and use flight activity for any physical-base claim.
