A conservative aircraft-base signal from Sprinkle flight activity, compared with 20 seasons of official NHC hurricane-strength track observations.

The public table keeps airports with at least three conservatively inferred aircraft and at least one hurricane-strength NHC track passing within 100 nautical miles during 2006–2025.
Methodology
How the screening works
- Kept registrations with at least 30 complete legs across at least 30 observed days.
- Required at least 20 arrival/departure endpoints at the leading airport, at least 40% of all endpoints and at least 1.5 times the second airport’s visits.
- Parsed the current Atlantic and East/Central Pacific HURDAT2 files through the completed 2025 season.
- Kept hurricane-strength observations from 2006–2025 and interpolated each six-hour track at no more than 25-nautical-mile spacing.
- Counted distinct hurricanes passing within 100 nautical miles of each inferred airport.

What must stay in the story
Always state the flight observation window and describe the airport as inferred from observed activity. Historical proximity is a repeat-exposure indicator only; it is not a forecast, damage model, insurance-risk score or operating-base declaration.
