No training-fleet age ranking—yet

The official FAA source is live, but the current Sprinkle school-like assignments do not pass the identity gate needed to attach aircraft ages to US flight schools.

FAA source data: 27 July 2026Loading Sprinkle data date…Refresh: monthly identity review
Zero school matches are approved. The narrow Sprinkle queue contains Brazil-scoped raw assignment labels with no linked operator identities. The recorded aircraft years are deliberately held back, so this page is not a ranking and says nothing about school quality, aircraft condition or safety.

Identity review queue

Why the current candidates cannot be ranked

Variants are normalized only enough to reveal duplicates. A row must be US-scoped, linked to a Sprinkle operator and manually confirmed against the exact FAA school and location before any age calculation can appear.

Methodology

A deliberately strict gate

  • Used the FAA AVInfo Find a Facility dashboard’s 14 CFR Part 141 Pilot School view with its United States filter. It displayed 714 school locations and “Data updated 27/07/2026” when checked on 31 July 2026.
  • Selected a narrow Sprinkle review queue using literal TRAINING or FLIGHT ACADEMY wording in raw operator-assignment labels.
  • Normalized accents, punctuation, a few company suffixes and the common phrase “Escola de Aviacao Civil” only to group obvious label variants.
  • Required US jurisdiction, a linked Sprinkle operator UUID and manual exact-name/location evidence before approving a school match.
  • Found no eligible US match. Aircraft years remain excluded from the public result and every approval flag remains false.

Sources, cadence and limits

What this supports

Official source: FAA AVInfo Find a Facility Dashboard. The FAA says this dashboard provides pilot-school facility locations. Its guest crosstab download was disabled during this check, so this release records the displayed official count and source date but does not republish school contacts.

Sprinkle source: _gdb_airframe_operator_history joined to _gdb_airframe, regenerated on each data-room publish. Recheck FAA identities monthly.

Suggested source line: “A Sprinkle identity review found no current US FAA Part 141 school match strong enough to support a training-fleet age ranking.”

The FAA directory establishes certification/location, not ownership of each aircraft. A later release needs an exact school entity map, current school-to-aircraft evidence and manual approval. Aircraft age alone must never be presented as airworthiness, maintenance quality or safety.
