Median asking prices by aircraft segment, converted to pounds using official ECB reference rates and filtered to remove records already flagged for price review.
Not yet a price index: This is one current asking-price snapshot. It does not measure completed sales or price change over time. Historical index claims will wait for 12 comparable monthly snapshots.

Only classified segments with at least five clean active listings are published. The full clean listing download lets journalists inspect every observation behind the medians.

Methodology
How the benchmark was calculated
- Combined current active priced dealer and marketplace listings held in Sprinkle.
- Converted each asking price to GBP using the European Central Bank’s published daily reference rates.
- Excluded unclassified aircraft and records carrying the collector’s low- or high-price review flag.
- Required at least five clean listings in a segment and used the median to reduce sensitivity to extremes.
- Kept source currency, listing URL and price-review evidence in the downloadable listing file.

What still needs checking
Asking prices can differ from completed sale values, duplicate or stale adverts may remain, and equipment or maintenance condition can materially affect value. Inspect the supporting listings before quoting a segment.
