FAA fleet-age analysis
Where America’s registered aircraft are oldest
A complete 50-state ranking by the recorded age of valid FAA registrations, with a separate view that removes explicitly labelled trustees.
Important: A registered address is administrative, not proof that an aircraft is based or operated in that state. Recorded age also does not prove current airworthiness or activity.

Methodology
How the list was made
- Restricted to valid, non-expired registrations in the 50 states with plausible manufacture years.
- Calculated state mean and median recorded age; all 50 states are included.
- The non-trustee comparison removes only records whose FAA owner name explicitly includes “trustee”; it cannot identify every trust or nominee arrangement.

What still needs checking
Use this as a state-level fleet profile, not a measure of aircraft condition. Verify any individual aircraft before publication.
